Oceanside Sea Lions Club inducts four new members

Oceanside Sea Lions Club had a very successful and fun meeting led by amazing President Belle Limoge on September 19, 2023 at IHop! Congratulations Mel Lopez for receiving the prestigious award Melvin Jones Fellowship. Welcome and Congratulations to the 4 new members: Dawn Chapman, Alvin Tayag, Kim Selznick, Joe Jeffery sponsored by President Belle Limoge. They were inducted by District Governor Julio de Guzman. They had a toast for prosperity and were given labeled mug by President Belle. Lion Jolie was supposed to be inducted but had to work. She’s sponsored by VP1 Zucette Lumabas. PDG Blessie Tuason Sanchez Trott brought two visitors and Lion Duvy Alfaro also brought 2 prospective members. We sure had a lot of enthusiastic attendees having fun. Membership chair Esther Francia Adversalo presented the membership event in October which is a fundraiser for the club. She also mentioned the club’s fundraiser “Bowl for the Blind” to be held on November 18, 2023 flyer and registration form in our website www:oceansidesealionsclub.com. We discussed a lot like the success of the Golf Tournament, guest speakers invited, Peace posters, Student Speakers contest, etc…. IPP/ Secretary Pam Pahnke reported some of the events while Treasurer Carol Boyer gave a thorough financial report. Tail Twister Cal Coleman told funny jokes. VP2 Marc Manlapaz, Director Pranee Johnson, Lion Bong Reyes were some of those who attended. Pictures speak a thousand words. Thank you to all who participated. May God bless you all!
