Oceanside Sea Lions Celebrate 50th Anniversary
Oceanside CA-The Oceanside Sea Lions celebrated 50 years of
service on Sat, June 16th, with an anniversary party at the
Jolly Roger Restaurant at the Oceanside Harbor.
The new officers
for the 2018-2019 were also inducted. President: Liz
Latasa, Vice President: Pam Pahnke; Treasurer: Carol Boyer,
Secretary:
Belle Limoge; 1 year Directors: Zucette Lumabas and Karen
Zornes, 2 year Directors: Dee Brown and Marc Manlapaz, Tail
Twister: Colleen Woodbeck and Ysela Sharp, Lion Tamer: Liz
Latasa, and Membership Director: Jackie Knapp. A special award
was given to Carol Boyer, for Lion of the Year.
The Oceanside Sea
Lions is very active in the community and some of their main
events include: The Miss Oceanside and Miss Teen Oceanside
Scholarship Pageant; Bowl for the Blind, Eye Screenings at
the Health Fair and the Oceanside Senior Expo in Oceanside.
The general meetings
for the club are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00
pm at the IHOP Restaurant off of I5 and Oceanside Blvd. Guests
