It was a great event by Oceanside Chamber of Commerce “Operation Appreciation, A Day of Recognition for our Armed Forces” held on May 21, 2022, OCC CEO Scott Ashton, Porche Copeland, Rosie Hurt, Kristi Hawthorne, Gwen Bryson, Victoria Carlborg, Margery Benkaci, Tracy Torn etc..brought business community and area residents together to provide a day of recognition to all active-duty military stationed on Marine Corps Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton and nearby military based. Commanding Officer of Camp Pendleton Brigadier General Jason Woodworth, Congressman Mike Levin, Supervisor Jim Desmond, Mayor Esther Sanchez, former Mayor/Council Member Peter Weiss, Deputy Mayor Ryan Keim, Fernando Hernandez Field Representative of Assembly Member Tasha Boerner Horvath, OPD Capt Sean Marchand, Fire Specialist Ron Owens, Lisa Frost of Patch, Oceanside Sea Lions Club Miss Oceanside Erika Atienza, Princess Elizabeth Carlson, Princess Andrea Barba, Miss Teen Oceanside Jiselle Banuelos, Teen Princess Marlie Wright, Teen rincess Jadyn Spiwak, OSLC President Pam Pahnke, 2nd Vice President Zucette Lumabas, etc.. attended the event! Thank you Oceanside Sea Lions pageant ladies for serving and greeting. There were lots of military personnel, vendors, freebies, free food, games for the military and their families.
