Miss Oceanside
& Miss Teen Oceanside Scholarship Pageant sponsored by
the Oceanside Sea Lions Club was held on April 23, 2016 at
the James Truax Performing Arts, El Camino High School. It
was studded with beautiful, intelligent, elegant ladies. Congratulations
Miss Oceanside Breana Banuelos, Princesses 1st Kaitlyn Jonassen,
2nd Alicia Cacho, 3rd Iris Pena; Miss Teen Oceanside Caitlyn
Guiao, Teen Princesses 1st Whitney Hay, 2nd Raquel Parizeau,
3rd Kristalina Banuelos. Winners become Ambassadors of Good
Will for City of Oceanside, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce
and Oceanside Sea Lions Club. We would like to thank Mayor
Jim Wood for his support. The audience had a great time having
picture taking with him. We're also grateful to the OFD Chief
Darryl Hebert for his support. We had awesome entertainment
by Debbie Nicastro singer; Sienna Trinh. Emcee Brian Graham
was in his element. Thank you to the judges: Sonia Hebert,
Lauryn Moses, Ben Galvan, Tenia Bentley, Janell Vesci, Rein
Hanson, Erica Smalley, Karen Korbacher, Tracey Perrault, Mark
Labella. Excellent job judges. Thank you Steve Marcotte OsideNews
for publicity, excellent reporting and beautiful pictures.
We would also like to thank all the Oceanside Sea Lions and
friends who participated and helped at the event. They were
awesome. We are grateful to everyone: contestants, sponsors,
advertisers, judges, volunteers, those who donated their expertise
so numerous all to mention. Oh what a wonderful night!
