The winners of the Miss Oceanside Pageant are...

Community members packed into the James Truax Performing Arts Center April 1 to watch 31 contestants compete for eight winning spots in the 2017 Miss Oceanside Scholarship Pageant.

The competition is judged on a personal interview, poise and presentation and includes answering a question on stage. Winners become goodwill ambassadors for the City of Oceanside and appear at community events, where they earn community service hours.

The winners of the Teen division were 3rd Princess Kyanna Knutson; 2nd Princess Haley Cook and 1st Princess Kassidy Betz. The new Miss Teen Oceanside is Lauren Bell. The winners of the Miss division were 3rd Princess Kristalina Banuelos; 2nd Princess Sarah Holloway and 1st Princess Ilona Malinovksa. The new Miss Oceanside is Maggie Islas..
