Spotlight Zucette Lumabas Named Chamber Member of the Month

Zucette,
Oceanside CAAzucena Zucette Lumabas was named the Oceanside
Chamber of Commerce Member of the Month for November. She
has been a member of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce for
several years, and serves on the Membership/Ambassadors Committee.
She enjoys interacting with other business members, ribbon
cuttings, mixers and attending/volunteering at events held
by the chamber.
Zucette
is a registered nurse, having received her BSN from UERMMMC
College of Nursing, Philippines and was granted Board Certification
as a Medical-Surgical Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center. She has two sons, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
She worked in the Philippines, Illinois, Texas and in California
where she retired from the VA San Diego Healthcare System
three years ago. Since then, she has been able to spend more
time doing community service.
Zucette
is the president of the Oceanside Sea Lions Club, where she
received the Melvin Jones plaque, Lion of the Year, and Excellence
in Membership. She's on the board of directors for the Fil-Am
Cultural Association where she is the Chairman of Hospitality,
"Pinoy Got Talent" and a member of several committees
such as Scholarship, Holiday Ball, Fil-Am Pageant, and a corresponding
secretary in Las Madrinas Altar Society. She is a member of
the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis and volunteers at Brother Benno,
Beach Fun Days, and Child ID. She is also a member of UERMMMC
Nursing Alumni Association of USA, Red "Red Hot"
Hatters and a lifetime member of TCMC Auxiliary.
Zucette
is called a social media coordinator, being an administrator
of a FB page OPK and several FB groups such as Miss Oceanside
pageant, FACASDNC, FilAm pageant, Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis,
OSL president group, and OSLC website. She feels a great sense
of self-satisfaction and purpose in volunteering. She is thankful
to be given an opportunity to serve and hopes to make a difference
in the community.
She enjoys babysitting, singing, watching musical shows, eating
out, and traveling to different states and countries. As a
matter of fact, she just returned from a cruise to Greece
and Turkey. Zucette is thankful for God's blessings and she
loves life.
