It was a very touching and solemn event “OLD GLORY” Flag Retirement Ceremony organized by amazing Capt. of Honor Guard Dan Karrer on November 12, 2022 at the OFD Training Center. Capt. Christian Boulan was marvelous as the emcee. There were lots of organizations, clubs, association and individuals who were thank! Event sponsored by OFD Color Guard, VFW. It was wonderful to see our heroes, first responders handsome, intelligent, hardworking, my favorites Oceanside Fire Department superb Fire Chief David Parsons, Capt. Christian Boulan, Capt. Honor Guard Dan Karrer, Honor Guard Capt. Anthony Williams, FF PM Robert Castillo, Fire Specialist Ron Owens, OFD Linda McLaughlin, Eng. Kellen Harris, Joe. Thank you for coming Oceanside Sea Lions Princess Emily Dikitanan, Princess Arlette Martinez, Lion Tamer Ysela Castillo Sharp and husband Rick, Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis Larry Brian and secretary Carolyn Brian.…….Yay! Awesome singing by Denise Saiz and her very talented son Christopher. There were adorable participants. Band was great, love their songs. Dan played the bugle, sooo touching. Flags were then retired.
