Tour
of the Oceanside Police Department
October
05, 2016
The
awesome Tour of Oceanside Police Department with yummy lunch
was done on October 5, 2016. We were all excited to experience
a lot of firsts: to enter the inside of police department,
see the front office where the action starts once you enter
the OPD, see the room for field evidence, holding cell, dispatch
room, communications
where they receive the 911 calls, the K9 demo, sit inside
the police car and so much more. We are thankful to the amazing
officers: Officer Jose Munoz & Officer Jose Gomez for
taking the time to tour us around the department, they were
so informative, very knowledgeable, articulate, friendly,
patient and dedicated to their work. It was so exciting to
see Officer Wagner K-9 unit with his dog which I'm sure everyone
would like to have. We are thankful and appreciate it very
much to be welcomed by the friendly, patient, accommodating
#1 handsome Capt. Fred Armijo, #2 handsome Lt. Taurino Valdoviso,
Sgt.Sadler Kedrick must be #3 and lovely Public Safety Communication
Manager Bonnie Stauffer. Well my group are beautiful too:
Oceanside Sea Lion Princess Alicia Marie Cacho, Community
Liaison Pam Pahnke, Director Gloria Ash, FACO president/LionBelle
Limoge, FACO former treasurer/ Lion member Jacqueline Guevara
Lazaga. We are very thankful for such a rare opportunity and
exciting experience. We asked more and they said they learned
more about the police during the yummy lunch. I think the
sgt. learned more about my children and a. children lucky
7 while he has 5 only. We discussed other things too. Thank
you to Forrest Bacter who kept his cool when he saw us and
explained well his job. Overall it was an excellent experience!!!
Thank you! by OSLC Director/FACO VP Zucette Lumabas
