Oceanside Sea Lions Club held a Miss Oceanside and Miss Teen
Oceanside Scholarship Pageant orientation on March 1, 2024
at the Mission Library Community Room. The room was full.
Lion President Belle Limoge was awesome, an extemporaneous
speaker who spoke about the pageant like fees, ads, sponsorships.
She was very encouraging. Lion Elizabeth Carlson spoke about
what to expect before and at the pageant. She was amazing
and articulate, talked about the pageant. Attendees were enthusiastic.
Looking forward to see them all at the pageant. Our president
was so sweet. Introduced me as the pageant chair, past president,
presently the 1st Vice President, etc…. while I sat at
the back and mingled with guests, towards the end I went in
front. It was fun! Lion Rose Orbon Teding, graphic designer,
was wonderful and offered to help them with their ads. Tail
Twister Mel Lopez helped a lot with setup and breaking down
at the end. Lion Bruce helped at the beginning. Treasurer
Carol Boyer, Director Ysela Castillo Sharp, Lion Rose Teding
and Director Feri Sal upon arrival were very efficient and
went to do their specific assignments right away. Miss Teen
Oceanside Karis Ho, Teen Princesses Adriana Solorio, Vanessa
Ramos, Princesses Andrea Barba & Megan Clark were so wonderful
and encouraging by telling their amazing experience. I enjoyed
mingling with the guests. IPP/Pageant Director Pam Pahnke
was amazing setting up the orientation. I’m sorry she
was not able to make the orientation. I mentioned her during
the presentation. She was the one who brought Miss Oceanside
Scholarship Pageant to the Oceansids Sea Lions Club while
I started the Miss Teen Oceanside and brought all the winners
to be included in the activities. God is Good. Thank you to
all Lion members, guests, contestants and their relatives.
