Senior Expo sponsored by Oceanside Chamber of Commerce was awesome held at the Civic Center, Oceanside on October 11, 2018. Oceanside Sea Lions club enjoyed meeting, talking, welcoming while some received free eye screening from Ophthalmologist Lion Dr. Knapp. We enjoyed visiting various booths where varied and plenty of helpful info and useful freebies were given. We invited guests to our Bowl for the Blind to be held on Saturday at Surf bowl check in time at 12:30pm. Congratulations Jimmy Knott III named Senior of the Year with Council Member Jack Feller doing the honors. It was wonderful to see former Mayor Jim Wood and his wife Pamela Wood. He had not lost his keen sense of humor. YES on MEASURE X was the strong statement by our heroes the Oceanside Fire Department/Ofa Local. They encouraged the people to vote YES on X. It was an event to remember until next year again.
